A distraught mother from the Oti Region is calling for justice after her newborn reportedly sustained a deep cut near the ear during a cesarean section at the Jasikan District Hospital.

  

According to the family, the injury was never disclosed to them before they were discharged, leaving them shocked upon discovering the wound later.

The newborn has since been transferred to another medical facility for further treatment. The family is now demanding clear answers from the Jasikan District Hospital and relevant health authorities regarding how such an incident occurred and why it was not communicated to them.

As of now, the hospital has not released any official statement on the matter, raising more concerns among residents and the affected family.
